SBV Excelsior stole a point off FC Twente Enschede 2-2 at De Grolsch Veste on Sunday, October 2. Co Adriaanse, the Tukkers head coach, was utterly disappointed after his side failed to secure all three points against a struggling outfit.

However, De Jong scored the equaliser in the injury time to deny the visitors from registering their first win of the 2011/12 season, much to the relief of Adriaanse.
FC Twente manager admitted that his side staged a poor show in front of their home crowd and in the end they were lucky to secure a point.
“We made too many mistakes in midfield. Excelsior played good football. We had enough scoring opportunities, but we didn’t. We forgot to make it 2-0, and when we conceded a goal. We threw everything forward, and conceded another. Fortunately, we scored the
equaliser. We have lost two points and will have to compensate somewhere else”, Adriaanse said while talking to the media.
After losing two crucial points in front of their home crowd, the Tukkers have dropped down to third place in the league table, trailing the league leaders http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar by four points.
