FC Twente Enschede 3-2 Odense BK: Co Adriaanse pleased with the win – UEFA Europa League news

The Tukkers head coach, Co Adriaanse, expressed happiness following his side’s crucial
win.
The Dutch trainer admitted that the opening goal was an early disappointment, but his side recovered impressively.
“Douglas is usually not the man to do a mistake. That was unexpected. However, we recovered well. The win has now ensured our progression to the next phase of the competition and shows our strength as well”, Adriaanse said while talking to the media.
The 64-year-old tactician then went on to praise his side’s performances in the competition thus far.
“We have scored 12 goals in four games. I have not seen anything like that before”, Adriaanse added.

In the 35th minute, however, the home side scored the equaliser when Landzaat’s header found the back of the net. Two minutes later, Landzaat grabbed his second following an impressive right-footed volley to make the score-line 2-1.
In the second-half, the visitors put in an improved show and threatened the home side on various occasions. OB scored the equaliser moments later after the hour mark through Fall.
However, the Tukkers showed their class yet again eight minutes before full time when Leroy Fer’s header hit the back of the net. When the referee blew the final whistle, the score-line read 3-2 in favour of the Enschede giants.
The Tukkers boss praised the performance put in by Fer and revealed that the young midfielder has a lot of quality in his game.
“For the second consecutive time, Fer has scored a goal at an important stage. He is a player with a lot of depth”, Adriaanse concluded.
All three points ensured that FC Twente make progression through to the next round of Europe’s second tier competition.
