FC Twente Enschede’s versatile defender, Bart Buysse, believes that there is not much difference in Ajax Amsterdam and the Tukkers in terms of quality. Buysse admitted that his side passed a scare against the Amsterdammers and got a little lucky in emerging
victorious in the KNVB beker Cup final in Rotterdam on Sunday, May 8.
Buysse said, “Qualitatively, there is not much difference between both teams, I think. This was also Sunday. What I do know is that FC Twente is mentally very strong. We have some experienced guys and that is an advantage.”
The 24-year-old left back was acquired from Zulte Waregem at the start of the ongoing season. However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michel-c25453 Preud’homme, the Tukkers manager, gave him the first team opportunity only after the winter break and the defender impressed at the back. The Belgian
National has appeared 13 times for the the Tukkers so far and has played a vital role in strengthening the Tukkers’ back-line since January 2011.
Buysse added, “Yes. I got an opportunity after the winter break, which I seized. Michel Preud’homme gave me the confidence. I can attack and take risks. That is my game. The desire to move forward has always been there in me. On the other side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Rosales-c31362
does the same.”
The Tukkers sit atop the Eredivisie table with a solitary point lead over second-placed Ajax Amsterdam. They have played exceptionally well throughout their 2010/11 Eredivisie campaign, and only a point separates them from lifting their second ever league
title.
Preud’homme’s men will take on Ajax at Amsterdam Arena on Sunday, May 15. Buysse is looking forward to meeting the Amsterdammers in the title decisive encounter.
After defeating Ajax in the final, the Tukkers would be brimming with confidence to emerge victorious yet again next week. However, the Amsterdammers will not let their 30th Eredivisie title slip away easily when they take on the reigning Eredivisie
champions in front of their home crowd.
