FC Twente Enschede’s Bryan Ruiz on Fulham FC radar – Dutch Eredivisie news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede attacker, Bryan Ruiz, has claimed that Fulham FC have contacted his agent to land his signature before the end of the ongoing summer transfer market.
In the last couple of months, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-Rica-c2877 International has also been heavily linked with a move to join Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old arrived at De Grolsch Veste in the summer of 2009 following an exciting three-season stint with AA Gent. The highly-rated striker has so far netted an impressive 36 goals in 61 appearances for the Tukkers. His good performances have not gone
unnoticed, as a host of European clubs have expressed interest in signing the ace this summer.
The prolific striker admitted that Fulham have become a serious option for him following their offer and revealed that the Cottagers have contacted his agent to discuss about a possible move.
“Fulham are a serious option for me. They also play in the Premier League and that is a great competition. Fulham have contacted my agent. We are open to talks if they make a concrete offer”, Ruiz said while talking to the journalists.
The 26-year-old then went on to reveal that he is not thinking much about his transfer, but admitted that he wants to take the next step in his career.
“I am not thinking about a transfer too much, because I can't do anything about what happens. Obviously, I am keen to make a step forward. It's not a problem for me though if I eventually stay at Twente”, Ruiz concluded.
Recent reports from De Grolsch Veste confirm that Twente have rejected the Cottagers’ bid of 7.5 million Euros for the Costa Rican ace. Joop Munsterman, the Tukkers chairman, confirmed the news and revealed that the bid was too low.
“We could not take the offer seriously. It was too low”, Munsterman said.
The tricky striker has also been linked earlier with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 and Villarreal. Although none of the aforementioned clubs have so far made an attempt to lure the 26-year-old away from De Grolsch Veste, the situation could well change in the days to
come.
The 26-year-old has an ongoing contract with the Tukkers that has a buy-out clause of 15 million Euros. Reports indicate that the outfit from Enschede does not intend to sell their prized asset and are looking to prolong his stay at De Grolsch Veste for
another season.
However, the club would not reject any incoming advances should they meet their current evaluation of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-c9458 Rican star.
