The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 manager has urged his side to bag three points against Roda JC Kerkrade and has revealed that all top six Eredivisie sides would be feeling immense pressure.
Ahead of his side’s clash against Roda JC Kerkrade, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede head coach, Steve McClaren, has urged his side to put in their hundred per cent. The two sides will meet at De Grolsch Veste on Saturday, March 31.
The Tukkers have thus far performed consistently at home this term, losing only two of their 13 games, and the former England manager would be hoping that his side keep its good record intact against Harm van Veldhoven’s side.
“Roda JC are a dangerous side. We must ensure that we find a way to bag all three points. We have left the tough series behind in which we lost our focus. I expect that we shift our focus back to the task in hand”, McClaren was quoted as saying to the media.
The English trainer, who recently denied taking Football Association (FA) technical director role, went on to reveal that every side in the Dutch top tier would be feeling immense pressure in the remaining weeks of the 2011/12 season, especially the top
six sides.
“The pressure will certainly increase on each team as the season approaches the end. We know that there are very few opportunities, and we cannot afford a slip up at this stage”, McClaren added.
Occupying the third spot on the Eredivisie table, the Tukkers are trailing the table-toppers, AZ Alkmaar, by mere four points. McClaren has insisted that experience will play the decisive role in the race for the title.
“Experience of the entire squad will play a major role in the title hunt”, the English trainer concluded.
