The Tukkers head coach, Steve McClaren, was pleased with the win, but insisted that his troops could have scored more after creating plenty of goalscoring opportunities.
“We should have scored more. We had plenty of chances. We started well in the second-half, but then we fell back”, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 boss was quoted as saying o Voetbal International.
The English trainer went on to heap praise on his side’s new signing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dmitri-Bulykin-c11392, and insisted that the introduction of the Russian ace gave his side more attacking flare.
“The introduction of Bulykin gave us more strength in the penalty area. However, I was not pleased to see that we failed to push forward after scoring the second goal. I would have been more pleased if we had showed ruthlessness in
front of goal”, McClaren added.
Both sides commenced proceedings cautiously, but the home side adjusted rapidly, and went on to control the game throughout the 90 minutes. Although, they failed to hit the back of the net in the opening half, they constantly threatened
the visiting side with their impressive movement upfront.
After the half-time break, McClaren introduced Bulykin on the pitch, replacing Glynor Plet, and the change paid dividends for the hosts immediately. A Dusan Tadic free kick was headed perfectly into the back of the net by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leroy-Fer-c22126
