The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 striker’s representative Karim El Atmani reveals that his client himself wants to join the Eredivisie side to develop as a footballer.
Luc Castaignos’ agent, Karim El Atmani, has insisted that FC Twente Enschede are the favourites in landing his client’s signature this summer.
The 19-year-old joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in the summer of 2011 after making 37 Eredivisie appearances for Feyenoord Rotterdam during his two-season spell at De Kuip Stadion.
However, the young striker failed to feature regularly for the Nerazzurri in the previous campaign, due to stiff competition from the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giampaolo-Pazzini-c14802.
In addition, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rodrigo-c31437 Palacio’s arrival has further diminished the Dutch ace’s chances of cementing his place in the Inter Milan starting XI, tempting him to move away from San Siro before the start of the 2012/13 campaign.
Although, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 are said to be the youngster’s keen admirers, his representative has confirmed that Steve McClaren’s Twente are in pole position to acquire his services this summer.
“Luc consciously chooses http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 because he wants to develop as a footballer again. He has spent a year at Inter, where the money has been good, but now he wants an investment in his future too. There are still conversations
to be had between the two clubs, but it looks very good. Chances are that Luc will go to FC Twente”, El Atmani was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
The former Feyenoord Rotterdam hit-man’s agent went on to reveal that Sporting Lisbon will be the favourites in landing his client’s signature if a move to De Grolsch Veste falls to materialise.
“It's [between] FC Twente and Sporting Lisbon, but FC Twente is definitely his first choice”, El Atmani concluded.
Castaignos, who only managed to represent Inter in six Serie A matches, has a contract at San Siro that runs until the summer of 2015. However, reports indicate that the Nerazzuri will let go of the young talisman should an offer
in the region of seven million Euros comes in before the ongoing summer transfer window slams shut.
