FC Twente midfielder Theo Janssen set to be fit for PSV Eindhoven crunch encounter
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Janssen-c34871, is confident to be fit for the weekend’s clash against Eredivisie powerhouse, PSV Eindhoven. Eredivisie reigning champions are boosted with the news, as the prolific midfielder suffered a knee injury
in their clash with SBV Excelsior on 20th March. Janssen scored twice in the match to secure a 2 – 0 win for his side.
The 29-year-old midfielder is the product of Vitesse Arnhem youth academy. He started his professional career in 1998/99 season from his native club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitesse-c40905 Arnhem. His performances attracted interest from the Tukkers management and their former manager,
Steve McClaren, took his signature in 2008/09 season. He has scored 15 goals in 81 matches.
Janssen said, “'I'll make it. That to me was never in doubt. 'This week I will start to slowly build up my programme as, at this moment, I cannot tackle. There is still a little fluid in the knee.”
The injury cost the 29-year-old a place in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hungary-c2920. Janssen was disappointed with his injury, as he was desperate to represent his side. He was also frustrated as the injury has disrupted
his season as well.
Janssen added, “I would have much rather stayed with the rhythm of two games a week and played for Holland. Now I must start all over again.”
The Tukkers manager, Michel Preud’homme, would be a happy man after his star player would probably be available for the match against PSV on coming weekend at De Grolsche Veste. Preud’homme’s side are currently placed second in the league table, trailing
the league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven, with a solitary point.
Many believe that the Tukkers encounter against the league leaders on Saturday would prove to be decisive in Eredivisie. Should PSV win the game, they would extend their lead to four points. On the other hand, should defending champions win the match, they
would snatch the top spot at the table with two points separating them from the Boeren.
However, both sides would be gunning to bag all three points in this most important fixture of the season, as it could end up to be the deciding encounter for both sides at the end of the season.
The Tukkers would be pleased to have their prolific midfielder back from the injury just in time before the match. The 29-year-old midfielder has started light training with the squad and will be hoping to start the upcoming encounter in the playing eleven.
