http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233’s Douglas vary of Villareal CF threat– Europa League update
FC Twente Enschede will clash with Villareal CF in the first leg of UEFA Europa League quarter-finals at El Madrigal on April 7, 2011.
The Tukkers would be brimming with confidence after snatching the Eredivisie top-spot from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven on April 2, 2011. The Tukkers defeated the Boeren 2-0 in front of their home crowd.
However, they have to forget the victory and look forward to their difficult upcoming Europa League clash.
The Eredivisie outfit defender, Douglas http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050, has admitted that the Yellow Submarine will prove to be a difficult opponent and they have to perform their best on the pitch to achieve superior results.
The 23-year old defender is suspended to play in the league. However, he will be available to Michel Preud’homme, “the tactician”, for selection in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
Douglas said, “I expect a very tough match. Villarreal have good players. Almost all of them have international experience. However, we also have the quality. I have seen Villareal, they play same as Barcelona. They try to have more ball possession”.
“Their two strikers are very dangerous, Rossi and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nilmar-c28044. We have to watch them. I think we are growing this year better than the last term. We have the same team, only few new members, which have also fit well with the squad. Villareal are the favourites, as they have played in European competition for the last ten years consecutively”, he concluded.
The Yellow Submarines have a brilliant record at home this season. The last time they lost in front of their home crowd was in the December 17, 2009. They fell 0-1 to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Austria-c2844 Salzburg, in the group stage of Europe’s secondary club competition.
The Tukkers know that their opponents are a very strong home team. It would be a difficult task to beat the side, which they call ‘the little Barcelona’. However, the Tukkers are confident to achieve good results as they have done throughout the ongoing season.
