FC Twente Enschede’s Leroy Fer believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam will achieve better results this season, having failed to taste success in the last couple of seasons. The Tukkers acquired the services of the promising youngster from the Rotterdam giants
after reaching an agreement over a 5.5 million Euros transfer fee.
The central midfielder revealed that the Rotterdam giants have signed two good players who can achieve good results for Feyenoord.
“I think they will perform better this season. With players like Jordy Clasie, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Otman-Bakkal-c28851 and John Guidetti”, Fer said while
talking to the media.
The youngster then went on to reveal that it was hard for him to leave De Stadionclub after spending more than ten years in Rotterdam.
“With many of these players, I played for almost ten years. They were obviously disappointed when they heard that I was leaving the club. Meanwhile, they were also happy for me, for my future, which gave me a nice feeling. All in all, it was difficult for
me to leave”, the central midfielder concluded.
The Dutch International is a product of the Stadiumclub’s youth academy and started his professional career at De Kuip Stadion in the summer of 2007. The promising youngster made well over 100 appearances for De Stadionclub in his four-season stay in Rotterdam,
before arriving at De Grolsch Veste.
The 21-year-old is renowned for his impressive playmaking skills. Furthermore, his ability to score goals often earned him interest from a host of European clubs. Nonetheless, the young midfielder denied moving abroad at this point of his career and expressed
his intentions to pursue his career in the Dutch top flight..
The Tukkers remained the favourites candidates to lure the 21-year-old away from De Kuip Stadion and eventually managed to strike a deal. The youngster reportedly penned down a contract that will keep him at De Grolsch Veste until the end of the 2013/14
season.
