FC Twente’s Marc Janko attracts interest from Serie A outfits – Dutch Eredivisie news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marc-Janko-c23484 performed impressively throughout the 2010/11 season in the attacking third. His good performances have not gone unnoticed, as a host of Italian Serie A outfits are taking keen interest in taking his signature in the ongoing summer transfer market.
The 27-year-old arrived at De Grolsch Veste only in the summer of 2010, and has scored 14 goals in 29 appearances. But it seems like the striker would be moving to play in one of the most competitive leagues in the world when the 2011/12 campaign commences.
Reports suggest that Bologna FC, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ACF-Fiorentina-c38209, AC Chievo Verona and AC Cesena are also interested in acquiring the striker’s services before the start of the upcoming season.
Bologna finished 16th in the league table and lacked firepower in their front-line. The club management wants to add a striker to strengthen their attacking third and see the 27-year-old as a perfect addition to their ranks.
Reports suggest that the Rossoblu do not have the financial resources to sign the tall striker, as the Tukkers rate their prized asset at 6 million Euros. However, Janko has reportedly suggested the Serie A outfit to lure him away from Enschede on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Cagliari are also looking to bring reinforcements to their attack to achieve better results in the coming seasons. They finished 14th in the league table, but are reportedly aiming to finish the 2011/12 season in the top half of the table.
Udinese finished fourth in the league table and earned their right to play in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round in the upcoming season. The club management wants to add new faces to the squad in order to have more options upfront. The Austrian International is seen as the perfect addition to the squad. However, the Zebrette are yet to make official contact with the Eredivisie outfit.
With a growing list of suitors gunning for the signature of the 27-year-old striker, it seems unlikely that the Tukkers would be able to hold on to their star by the end of the ongoing summer transfer market.
