FC Utrecht boss Jan Wouters expecting a tough game against AZ Alkmaar – Dutch Eredivisie news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar at AFAS Stadion on Friday, November 25. The Utreg head coach, Jan Wouters, has admitted that his side’s upcoming league encounter will not be an easy fixture, and that he's expecting a tough game.
Wouters, who took over the managerial hot seat at Stadion Galgenwaard from Ronald Koeman earlier last month, has urged his troops to put in their best performance away from home and aim to achieve a good result.
“Of course it will not be an easy game for us. But we are not going Alkmaar just to lose. We will try to play good football and achieve a good result”, the Utreg boss said while talking to journalists.
The 51-year-old tactician praised the Alkmaar outfit’s performances and asserted that they are the only side who have achieved good results on a consistent basis.
“They are highly performing, playing good football and put a lot of pressure at their oppenent’s back-line. However, I believe in my troops and things are getting better. I can see my team developing and I believe that we can achieve a good result”, Wouters
concluded.
Reports from Stadion Galgenwaard indicate that Wouters will have to do without the services of many first-team players for the upcoming encounter. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jacob-Mulenga-c17488 all are sidelined
due to various injuries.
The outfit from Utrecht have thus far performed erratically away from home, winning only one of their seven away fixtures. Occupying the 11th spot in the league table, they are a mammoth 16 points behind the league leaders.
On the other hand, the Alkmaar outfit have thus far achieved tremendous results in front of their home crowd, securing all three points thus far in every fixture at home.
With AZ enjoying supreme form at their home turf, it seems unlikely that they would really be threatened by a struggling Utrecht side. Furthermore, the Utreg will be missing many of their key players in this fixture that puts the home side as the clear favourites
to emerge victorious.
