Reports from Stadion Galgenwaard confirm that FC Utrecht have signed Erwin Koeman as their new coach. The 49-year-old tactician would be presented in the Cathedral City on Monday.
The tactician was the main candidate at Stadion Galgenwaard as the successor to the Utreg’s former manager, Ton http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Du-c11689 Chatinier. Rumours were also rife that the former England manager, Steve McClaren, would be taking over the Utreg’s managerial hot seat. Ronald
Koeman, the younger brother of Erwin Koeman, was also rumoured to be linked to coach the Utrecht next season.
McClaren is looking for a coaching job after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede, when he guided the Tukkers to their first league title in their history.
Ronald Koeman, meanwhile, was linked to the Utrecht due to his vast experience in coaching Eredivisie sides.
However, the speculations can now be put to rest as the Utreg management have successfully signed a contract with the 49-year-old Koeman. Reports suggest that the tactician has signed a contract that will keep him at Stadion Galgenwaard until the summer
of 2012.

He became the coach of Hungary National team in 2008 but was removed from his post in the summer of

The 49-year-old tactician would be looking to guide his side to a top-eight finish in the 2011/12 Eredivisie season to qualify for European football.
The Utreg have also recently announced their new managing director, Wilco van Schaik, who succeeds Jan Willem van Dop after he parted company with the Utrecht last month.
