FC Utrecht’s Ton du Chatinier disappointed with 2 – 3 loss to ADO Den Haag
ADO Den Haag came strongly from a goal down to snatch a 3 – 2 victory over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Utrecht-c39237 to remain on course for a UEFA Europa League play-offs berth at Stadion Galgenwaard on Saturday, 3rd April.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ton-c35408 du Chatinier, the Utreg manager, was bitterly disappointed with the result as his troops had started the match rather impressively.
Chatinier said, “ADO scored on three fouls. We gave them simple way. The defence is precisely the strength of my team, so I do not understand what happened.”
The Utreg started the match with attacking intentions and they were rewarded for their positive frame of mind in the 33rd minute of the match, when Frank Demouge’s pass found Edouard Duplan who made no mistake in netting the first goal of the match for the home side. ADO striker, Charlton Vicento, levelled the score line in the 39th minute.
After the interval, the visitors asserted more pressure on the Utreg back line and were rewarded with a two-goal cushion. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ADO-Den-Haag-c38221’s favour.
ADO were reduced to ten man when Vincento received his marching orders following a harsh tackle. FC Utrecht managed to claw one goal back through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Strootman-c20775, who fired a left-footed shot into the bottom right corner. However, Utreg were unable to level the score until the final whistle.
Chatinier was not satisfied with the injury time and said, “If there is so much happening, three minutes of injury time is very limited.”
The Utrecht outfit are currently placed eighth in the league table, trailing the last Europa League play-offs berth by six points. With five matches left to play in the season, Chatinier troops have to stage a dominant show if they have any ambition to play Europe next season.
