FDIC Clarification ?

Question

Mother and I have joint checking accounts.

Under FDIC rules are we both insured for $100,000.00 each?

Also please explain how this affects multiple CD's at the same bank.

Each depositor is insured for $100,000 per bank. If you have multiple joint accounts of any kind with cumulatively more than $200,000, then you would have some uninsured funds.
