  1. it only matter if time , nadal will take over

  2. reallly it would be murray, blake, djokick yourself, and roddick, but federer isn't really gone, he's still really good.

  3. im really sad abou tthe fed.

    i love him soo much

also this is not the us open (aug 25)

    this is the rogers cup

  4. Nadal usually gets beat in the early rounds of most hard court tournaments. He also plays sluggish/close matches on hard when he does win. It's like a totally different Nadal on hard court than the Nadal on clay. Guys like Dancevic and Levine can and have broken Nadal on hard, and can beat him with a bit more experience.

    Nadal on clay = god

Nadal on hard = just another guy

Nadal finally (VERY NARROWLY) overcame the grass hump, which is only a small part of tennis that could have gone either way. He's got a long way to go towards improving his hard court game which is why I don't see him staying number 1 for very long. Nadal will be number 1 for a couple weeks following the US Open, but Federer and Djokovic both have tons of points to gain during the hard season where Nadal bows out. Remember that Nadal twice faced Djokovic in Hamburg and again in the French Open with the number 2 ranking on the line on CLAY. Nadal won, but Djokovic made those advancements and came close to overtaking him on clay. It took back to back clutch wins by Nadal on clay to save his ranking, where as Federer lost on his favorite surface and still remained world number 1. We'll see but it'll be interesting for sure.

  5. there are still djokovic, and other good hardcourt players. i don't think fed has gone yet

  6. Nadal actually has a very tough draw and a lot of people are good enough to beat him.

He next faces Igor Andreev who has beaten Nadal on clay before.

After Andreev he can run into David Ferrer in the Quarters. Ferrer beat Nadal twice last year and both victories were on hard courts!!

And then the big one in the semis against Djokivic. No explanations needed here, we all know Djokovic is more than capable of holding his own on hard courts against anyone out there.

If he gets past all these opponents, he possibly gets Roddick in the Finals  and Roddick has beaten Nadal on hard courts this year in Dubai. So it is gonna be quite a huge task for Nadal to win Toronto this year.

  7. Yes, there is someone that will stop Nadal..

    He is Novak Djokovic :)

By the way, this is not the US Open... vice versa Roger Cup :)

  8. I WILL!!!! I'll run onto the court while he's playing and soccer kick him in the balls so hard his pelvis breaks!!! REVENGE FOR FEDERER!!

  9. djokovic  maybe

  10. Nadal was as rusty as Federer and still Rafa pulled thru....this is one case where i would be led to believe that 27 years is OLD in tennis...."rusty" perhaps, but nah, Roger didnt even know about his third wind coming out on him....

  11. Let me look at the draw.

Ferrer is really good on all courts and could knock off Nadal. At last year's Master's Cup, he crushed Nadal. This year Nadal has beaten him in all the meetings.

Djokovic is a better Hard Court player. Wawrinka and Murray are good, but I don't think good enough.

Roddick did beat Nadal earlier this year and has improved his game well.

Lastly Blake does play well on hard courts.

So the people that could beat him in order are

    1. Djokovic

    2. Roddick

    3. Ferrer

    4. Wawrinka

    5. Blake

    6. Murray

I think that he can beat anyone of them below Roddick handily

  12. Plenty of guys can stop Nadal. This is after all played on  hard courts, and as much as I love Nadal, I dont think he is the remaining favorite. Only due to his ranking is he looked this way. Plenty of guys play extremely well on these surfaces, and Nadal needs to show, as he has done on grass last three years, that he can play consistently on the hard court as well. He does have much to gain however on Federer and Novak at same time. Ranking wise, Federer will lose a bunch of points for not reaching the final as he did last season, and Novak has to defend all those points he won last season. At this tournaments conclusion, the ranking will prove even more interesting heading into Cincy/US Open.

  13. Roger is sliding down so nadal is goin 2 replace him soon

  14. GAH. I don't want Nadal to be Number One...! COME ON DJOKOVIC. Pull through for Fedfed!

  15. you are silly and not smart.

  16. I know, I feel bad too! I watched the whole match. Nadal will not take the #1 spot. Don't worry!

    Big Federer fan,

    rogerfedererfanclub

  17. nadal's injuires could come back as it is the hard court season,

  18. Hopefully not! Rafa will win!!!

  19. nope never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever
