poem that i wrote?

can you tell where it's supposed to rhyme. i used a different approach this time.

JEANS AND SNEAKERS.

my search is slowly dying down.

and what i've had all along.

is what seems to suit me best.

the less i ponder, the less i frown.

& to find the one who matches my song.

is at the very top of my list.

standing in my jeans & sneakers

staring blankly in that certain way

until he turns & i'm putty again.

him in his jeans & sneakers.

the same and the same, everyday.

my senses are blinded to even the wind.

i feel the scorching hot rush through my jeans.

and settle as a stilling cold in my sneakers.

there's no other feeling like the one for him.

it's always different, & the same no matter how it seems

nothing more frightening, or sickening. nothing sweeter.

than the crazy twisted thing for him.

i feel, when we're wearing our jeans & sneakers.

  1. This is really cool. The style is really good. =]

  2. Well, this approach works! I liked it a lot. You can have your lines rhyme in any order or not at all. Don't change a thing. This is great the way you have it. Changing it will make it sound forced and that's not what you want when writing poetry. Keep writing and keep your own style of writing and I know you will do fine!! Good luck.
