FF-X help? I get killed everytime?

on FF X for PS2 I keep getting killed by random monsters. I'm on the Highroad-south end right after that ball game.

The levels of my characters are 9, 2, 1, 0, 8, 7(sphere) and their HP is 520. So they're pretty low. Gamefaqs won't help.

How do you beat these annoying monsters?

Backtrack to an area you've visited before with weaker monsters and spend some time leveling up (do it around a save sphere so that you can refresh your health whenever it's low). Unless you give me the types of monsters you are having trouble with I can't give any strategies to help beat them.

try to get Yuna out and have her use her aeon's to defeat all those enemies so your characters could level up faster.

There's no easy way to kill any random mons. If you have problems in the beginning you won't be able to kill the boss even if you somehow menage to reach him. Lvl -up your characters by killing monsters near save sphere so you can heal anytime.I advise you to use your Aeons alot to soften enemies before you Ko them. Setting Yuna's overdrive stance to comrade helps alot if her OD bar is not filled enough to do Grand Summon. Remember to always cast haste/hastega in the beginning of battle and carry some hi-potions with you!
