FHS mantle clock. I have a quarter century old mantle clock by FHS sold by the J.L.Hudson Department Stores in Detroit (no longer in existance). It's a 3 spring type. The handle on top of the case had it's bolt work loose & drop into the works. The time spring won't wind more than a few turns before it slips back. I was told the entire works had to be replaced.

Please provide a repairman. I now live near Traverse City, Michigan but wouldn't object to shipping it to anyone you suggest for repair.

  1. I have bought A clock it's wood & some kind of gold metal. it's pendilums are missing it has a lady holding a baby on top in the middle,& a child on each side of her holding on to her leg. on each side of her is a lady looks like one holding A sword & a book. the other one is holding  a bird , looks like A owl .& i can't make out the other thing. behind them is the bell that chimes or would if it works, but it has a lovely sound when it wrong manually.on the bell is A figurine that looks like jesus &he's holding a ball above his head that i think is suppose to be the world & it has gold stars & half A moon on it.. under where the ladies are standing are these lettersNU ELCK SYN SIN..    inside on the clock part are these letters  FHS Germany  261-080A or maybe the 8 is a 9. on the back of the wood part of the case are these numbers72447184 i thought maybe  a number from when it was repaired. I was wondering if maybe someone could tell me something about it & if it was of any valve.    thank you
