FIA Brings The Most Exciting Auction Ever

There are not many times in life when your wildest dreams come true. Have you been imagining for ages slipping out of the cockpit of your own Formula One car? Or have you been dreaming since long of seeing your boyfriend working at the Mercedes GP Petronas Formula One Team? Or would you like to present your father one of the limited editions of Gold & Tantalum Hublot Aerobang wrist watch on his next birthday? No, we are not making your day dream, this all could be true or even much more than this.

The Formula One team is to hold their annual party next month with the best auction items one could have ever thought of. Some of the items at the F1 annual party this year, would surely make you think that one gets an opportunity to have these once in a life time. The F1’s annual party holds this auction every year where they collect aid for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.  This year’s event is also very important as it is sort of a welcome as well as a warm up for the next month’s Grand Prix that is to be held here in United Kingdom. The grand evening is scheduled for the 5th of July in the Natural History Museum in London.

The CEO of Formula One, Bernie Ecclestone, has always been supportive for this tradition of charity and has permitted for the event happily. The chief sponsor of the event would be Santander, the title sponsor of the British Grand Prix as well. This year marks the fourth year of the event that helps collect charity for the hospital. The first event took place in the year 2005 and since then the partnership between Formula One racing and the hospital’s charity has been successful in raising around an amount of £1.5 million, of which most of the amount had been spent towards the Heart and Lung Centre, which the latest block of the hospital and needs a lot of funds as well.

The event held last year also proved to be a big success as £450,000 was added to the Centre’s funds for its construction work, which is planned to be completed in 2012. At the present it is thought that the Cardiac team at the Great Ormond Street Hospital is among the best around the world, which takes care of more than 7,000 children with complicated heart and lung diseases every year.

Ecclestone has always shown his support and assistance towards the cause. He proudly told this week that the Formula One community has been successful in creating a unique partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital, which has grown stronger over the years now. He added that his entire family is involved in the great cause and his daughter, Tamara, is giving her assistance as the creative director of the party. The 23 year old model has also taken care of the planning of the event and would be overseeing all the preparations as well.

To spice up the event the Chart-topper pop band, Sugababes will perform at the party while DJ Henry Holland would do the rest of the magic at the place. The grand evening would be hosted by the TV presenters as well as the hospital patrons, Tess Daly and Vernon Kay.

Though all this sounds great but the main focus for everyone of course is the charity auction, where all wait to see the big lot of the exclusive guests grabbing whatsoever they had always wanted.

Well! The most exciting thing about this year’s auction is that you need not be one of those big shots of the sport world or a glittering star of showbiz but everybody and anybody could be a part of the bid through sending over an email or just dial in through your phone.

So you can think of getting your hands on the biggest item of the evening, BMW Sauber Formula One car, that took Nick Heidfeld to the ninth place in the driver’s Championship in 2006 or you can have your bags packed for the two weeks trip on exclusive Necker Island or just think of enjoying yourselves at the ultimate experience at the British Grand Prix.
