FIFA 12 climbs the Xbox 360 sales charts, yet did it topple the mighty Battlefield 3?
The United Kingdom has had another week of video game sales action and there has not been as much movement as one would have expected, yet at the same time a few titles have made their debuts.
The Xbox 360 sales charts for the previous week paint a picture that looks like this:
10. GoldenEye: Reloaded: boasting High Definition graphics and running at a smooth 30-frames-per-second, the remake of the original GoldenEye that gamers of yesteryear loved so much manages to debut in the number ten spot.
9. Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure: the game may not be sailing high in the charts but it is yet another week that the Skylanders game has spent in the top ten of not only the Xbox 360 charts but the overall sales chart in the United Kingdom.
8. F1 2011: the game that once topped the charts is just a few steps away from falling off the top ten altogether. However, Codemasters have delivered a quality product with F1 2011 and is by far one of the best Formula One experiences that
any video game has to offer.
7. Gears of War 3: it seems only yesterday when everyone was talking about the record breaking opening week that the final chapter in Marcus Fenix’s trilogy had, now it seems that the same game is nearing its swansong.
6. Sonic Generations: one of the most iconic series in the world of video games, Sonic is back with his latest game and it seems that a fair number of fans have rushed to get themselves a copy as the game settles in at sixth place on its
debut.
5. Kinect Sports: Season Two: still flying high in the charts is the only Kinect based game that gamers seem to have taken to. Season Two may not be the hardcore Kinect game that every Xbox gamer wanted but it builds on its predecessor and
offers enough enjoyment to warrant its sales figures.
4. Forza Motorsport 4: in a league of its own when it comes to graphics on the Xbox 360, Forza 4 goes beyond the call and delivers the now trademark racing experience that has earned it its legion of loyal fans.
3. Batman: Arkham City: a darker, grittier and overall more expansive take on the old ‘tananananana BATMAN!’ that we all came to know and love, Arkham City is not just a game, it is a work of art. A work of art that a large number of gamers
seem to want that is.
2. FIFA 12: jumping two places into the number two spot is FIFA 12 as the football simulation title manages to sprint past almost everyone and shoot towards goal.
1. Battlefield 3: however, only to find Battlefield 3 in between the poles and it deftly calls in an airstrike destroying the ball before it gets any closer.
