FIFA 2010 World Cup: Dunga expecting big things

Dunga the Brazilian coach is expecting a "Championship Match" when his side encounters Chile in their World Cup match on Monday night.

Brazil have had plenty of success against their opponents over the last few years  having met on the field  65 times and from that earning 46 wins , while Chile has come out shining on just seven occasions.

Dunga believes that there is a lot of motivation in Chile to change the record this time. They really want to show what they are made of and prove it by beating Brazil in the World Cup.

Dunga was reported to have said that they should not waste time comparing themselves with their opponents and that motivation for players is really just trying to change a pattern.

On another occasion he also commented on the Chilean team by saying "We have to try and improve as much as possible and that is exactly what Chile will do".

Chile has been training hard and they feel that beating Brazil would be a great accomplishment for their team.

Dunga the Brazilian Coach is not expecting any motivational issues from players from his own team, he said that his players know that the match with Chile is the next match they have to play and it is an important one.

"For now our next game is going to be against Chile, so we will prepare as we do against any other team. In the knockout stages it's all or nothing. Every game can be counted as a championship game”.

Chile has ameliorated a lot since the coach changed; with Marcelo Biesla taking over as coach the Chilean team has become a lot more competitive.
The coach said that his team fights really hard and till the very end and they get the best out of all of their players and he even went as far as saying that "what’s happened in the past is finished".

The Brazilian coach felt that the five teams from South America in the last 16 have showed that football on their continent is in a healthy state.

He has been quoted to say that "There are five South American teams playing in the round of 16.

Uruguay has already found its way into the quarter-finals which leads us to believe that the South Americans are extremely competitive and have a lot of very talented players.

The Chilean coach Bielsa felt that there was no point for his side to just sit back in the match on Monday night, saying  that they would rather go down attacking against a team they have lately toiled against.

Biesla commented by saying that our match is tomorrow and it is an all or nothing match and we will do our very best to make sure that the game is played in a manner that is convenient for us. He also said that “We hope we can win.

He also said that he thinks the psychological aspect in a match is always very important for the competition.

The coach commented more by saying that it’s going to be a factor of motivation that in his point of view right now they have a chance to change the negative streak they had been having.

When Bielsa was asked whether he was worried about the pressure imposed on the defensive lines by Kaka, Bielsa added that they need to be extremely careful and that all the Brazilian players are extremely good and that Kaka is like an emblem to them.

He also said that no team playing against Brazil can ignore Kaka, but also that Kaka has very talented team mates playing with him and that is a very major factor that can’t be ignored.
