FIFA 2010 World Cup: How much s*x is good for players, s*x made Romario more nimble
Every four years there is the same notorious question raised at the World Cup. It’s not just raised in big sporting events but is a common part of less significant events. From the FIFA World Cup to the NBA or the Olympics the same controversy sparks a vigorous debate. Players and administration always battle with the same question every time that how much s*x should players have during the tournament?
The players worry, the fans worry for the players while the coaches worry for the whole team. Being on a national football team does give you an all free way pass to as much tail as you may possibly want! So how much is just too much and how much could affect your performances in games?
There is a major difference between the World Cup when compared with other tournaments as with the World Cup you have to travel and stay in the host country for nearly a month.
It is common for teams to travel with their own personal chefs as they can have all they love to eat whenever they want but should that rule apply to sexual appetites as well and what about players who are married? Should their wives uproot their own lives and jobs and go on bedroom duties for a month and just follow the team around during the World Cup?
Application of leave for Sylvie Van Der Vaart, “Boss need the month off so I can go to another country for having s*x with my husband while he practices there in preparation for the World Cup”.
A doctor from Argentina answered these questions by saying, “The players can have s*x with their wives and girlfriends during the World Cup. Players are not Martians. But it should not be at 2 a.m. with champagne and Havana cigars.” This statement came from Dr. Donato Vallani, Argentinean team’s doctor.
From England the girlfriends and wives of the players make up the “WAGS” and they are as much of a tabloid fascination as the players themselves. The women have their own brand recognition and star power. In Germany during the 2006 World Cup, the WAGs were said to have spent over a million dollars on shopping sprees in the town of Baden-Baden.
During the 1990 World Cup the Italian team players parted with their girlfriends and wives and tried to win the World Cup under monastic zeal. But they sadly failed as they lost in penalty kicks.
The Italian coach said “Chastity of players prior and during a major competition has been a long-debated but unsolved problem,” he sighed, sounding a bit hard on himself.
s*x is taken a bit more in stride with the teams from South America. Romario a star striker of Brazil’s World Cup 1994 winning team was a notorious night owl. He said that clubbing helped give him the killer instinct in the penalty box, and that having s*x on the day of the match helped his legs “feel more nimble”.
If you search the internet for keywords Romario and s*x, you will find many stories of his many sexploits, from cases on airplanes to Rio’s Maracana Stadium locker rooms.
Romario said that “The night has always been my friend. When I go out I feel good, then I always score goals.” And miraculously it seemed to work for him.
Romario’s penalties in the shoot-out against Italy in the finals at the Rose Bowl were a vicious shot inside of the goalpost. Are we to believe, that he was getting lucky in L.A.?
One of Brazil’s most beloved players was Garrincha, who played in the 1958 World Cup, he died at the age of 50, leaving behind at least fourteen children. He was an alcoholic and may have suffered from syphilis. He was known as one of the most gifted, exuberant and creative players ever and barely distinguished between the joys of s*x and soccer.
The Spanish, French and Argentinean teams have similar stories and have asked their players to keep a balance between their activities. In reality this has worked for many players so in essence this theory seems to work on a person to person basis and he himself would have to strike his own balance.
