FIFA World Club Championship – TP Mazembe vs. Internacional – Full Time Report (Part 4)
The Africans then helped the crowd get up from their seats once more but that was not until the 85th minute. After dominating the game since their first goal, Mazembe were looking for a second but they just could not
find the back of the net. However, during the 85th minute Dioko Kaluyituka totally crossed the finishing line in a race that was never considered to be between two teams. There was only one team fighting for it since the beginning and they definitely
deserved to win as a wonderful ball from the midfielder Milota Kabangu found Kaluyituka’s feet on the left flank. The African man managed to cut inside until the time he entered the danger zone and fired the ball into the net. The shot simply found the back
of the net and the Internacional goalkeeper Renan had no clue what came at him. With the second goal coming so late in the game, it was definitely game over for the South American side as a big upset was about to take place in the FIFA World Club Championship.
The Brazilians were left to pick up the leftovers and that too in form of useless tries that simply flew past the flag poles planted right at the corner of the field.
With the referee blowing the final whistle of the game, an unusual site was seen by the fans sitting in the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium. They witnessed a very different outcome. The speculations were highly towards the Brazilian
team winning the game to qualify for the final of the FIFA World Club Champions. However, the Africans were seen celebrating as they were through and now they are to face one of the two sides – either the out of form Italian side, now under Rafael Benitez,
Inter Milan or the Korean side Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, who look to be in good touch as well. Is Benitez going to be involved in another FIFA World Club Championship, or will he do enough to keep his “dying” job at Inter Milan? Well, that is a question only
time can answer, but for now the Africans have qualified for the final of the FIFA World Club Championship and now they are ready to face any of the two sides.
