FIFA World Cup 2010: Klose “The German Pele” says Spain is not invincible

As FIFA World Cup 2010 is beginning to take shape, and the semi finals are approaching; the tensions are rising as people are unsure about who is going to become the Champion of the World. Is it going to be Germany? Spain? Netherlands, or, the South American underdogs Uruguay? Whoever it is going to be, we all know that they all are going to try to become the World Champions to make their country proud.

In FIFA World Cup 2010, we have seen many upsets. Not forgetting how the Italian team and the French team had to leave South Africa after they were knocked-out in the group stages.

Although some are regarded as upsets, others are regarded as some of the best matches of all time. For example, the match between Portugal and Spain in which the Spanish side won because the Portuguese just kept on defending. But it was a good match to watch. However, some matches were expected to be good, they turned out to be disappointments. The match between England and Germany was supposed to be a real blaster but the English were smashed by the Germans, defeated by a three goal margin, with the final score line 4-1 Germany. No one expected that the Germans would destroy the English side, but it looked like the English were not the only ones who were to face humiliation. Argentina, in the next round, faced the same humiliation when they were beaten by the Germans by a four-goal margin and the score line was 4-0, when the match ended.

Now the Germans are going to face Spain, the European Champions. Germany, for now is a very tough side and Michael Klose, who has recently been dubbed “the German Pele”, is of the view that Spain is not invincible. He believes that his young side can easily beat the Spaniards in the semi final to qualify for the final against either Uruguay or Netherlands. Speaking at a press conference in South Africa, the Munich striker revealed that although Spain are better than the sides his team has already played, they still remain beatable.

He told the press that he watched the match between Spain and Paraguay, thoroughly and he has examined their performance. He said that their team can easily find Spain’s weakness and they are not unstoppable.

Klose’, for now, has 14 goals in the World Cup and he has tied the score with the legendary Gerd Muller and he is only a goal away from beating Brazilian Ronaldo’s record of 15 goals.

Who is going to be victorious in the match between Spain and Germany? Well, no one can be too sure, but all we know is that Germans have been in terrific form recently while the Spanish side has not given their best yet. Star Spanish striker, Torres is facing fitness issues but David Villa is on the top of his form. On the other hand, the Germans do not have Muller in their squad because of the second yellow card that he received during the quarter final match against Argentina.
