FIFA World Cup 2010 – Top 7 World Cup players, likely to join a new club after the World Cup

Honda:
The Japanese and the CSKA Moscow star, Honda, has performed extremely well for his team in this World Cup. This World Cup has given him good recognition and it’s the perfect time for the top European teams to look at the players in the World Cup and bid for them as they perform well. As the Japanese star has given his best for his country and has scored on a wonderful free kick, the European clubs that are in the market for more players would be eying him for his move-in into their club.

Robinho:
The Brazilian number eleven, and the Manchester City star that is on loan to the Brazilian club, Santos, has impressed the football fans from all around the world. His performance at the FIFA World Cup 2010 has been outstanding and according to the ratings, he was the “man of the match” in the pre quarter final match against Chile. He scored the last goal and helped score the first two along with the other team members, Kaka and Luis Fabiano. Robinho and Kaka are known to be a deadly combo for the Brazilian side; according to the statistics, Brazil did not lose 33 matches that had Robinho and Kaka together. They drew 4 and won 29 matches, whenever both of them were paired together. As the performance of the Brazilian left forward has been amazing, it is expected that he might make a move to a new club this summer, as all the European big guns would be eyeing the amazing talent. It was a rumour that there might be a swap deal between him and Henry, with Manchester City, but later, it did not take place. Barcelona was after the Brazilian striker but then their interest in Villa and actually buying the Spaniard changed flicked their mind off of Robinho.

Henry:
The French star who has already left South Africa due to the shocking elimination of the French side, is likely to leave his former club Barcelona. Since leaving Arsenal for the Catalan giants, Barcelona, Thierry Henry has transformed into more of a spectator as he gets more time off the pitch rather than on the pitch. It was pretty obvious, considering how much time he got on the pitch in Barcelona; he is going to leave the Catalan giants and is not going to be a part of their squad in the next season. He is, most probably, going to join David Beckham in USA as the American club New York Red Bulls are trying to sign him.

Maicon:
The very impressive right back for the Brazilian and the Inter Mlian side, Maicon, is reported to be in link with Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho, ex manager of Inter Milan and the new Manager of the Spanish club Real Madrid, is a fan of the Brazilian player and really wants him to join him in his new club. Maicon, however, has not given any reviews about this. Maicon is such a good player for any of the teams he plays for, that the critics say that he should be “illegal” due to the fact that there is no one better than him to play for that position

Lampard:
The English National and playing for the English club Chelsea, has failed to impress the football fans in this FIFA World Cup 2010, as his team was knocked out by the Germans. Although, there was a controversy on the shot, that he struck and crossed the goal line but the goal was disallowed, he still did not manage to impress many during the football World cup. In Chelsea, he played amazing football and scored above twenty goals, although he is a midfielder. There are chances that the manager who used to manage him in Chelsea before, Jose Mourinho, is going to call him to his new club Real Madrid.

Gerrard:
One more disappointed English star, in fact the England’s captain, is back home after a disappointing run in the FIFA World Cup 2010. He is currently a part of the English football club Liverpool, who has had its years but is now number seven in the league. Considered to be one of the best midfielders in the world, Steven Gerrard is also called by the Spanish giants, Real Madrid. Gerrard, before leaving for the World Cup, said that he will decide his future in Liverpool after the World Cup. Let’s see where he plans to make a move after such a big disappointment.

Luis Fabiano:
The Brazilian and Sevilla star Luis Fabiano was reported to be in link with many top guns of Europe. He said it himself that he wants to win trophies; thus, linking to the fact that he wants to make a move from the Spanish team, Sevilla. There are reports that Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, all of them are trying to sign the Brazilian Striker. However, we can not count the fact out that he said he wants to win trophies, thus connecting to Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
