FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil – Squad of Brazil, the host nation
The Brazilians are going to be the host nation in the FIFA World Cup 2014. No team stands a chance against them in the FIFA World Cup, except the ones who really do possess the ball better than them. This year round Dunga has been stripped off his post as a coach but 4 years later, the coach for Brazil would probably be hailed all around the nation.
The coach for the Brazilian side, Dunga, is not going to be the coach for the South Americans in the next FIFA World Cup and therefore, no more defensive football for the Brazilians. Fans who hated how Dunga loved the “best defence is the best attack” quote, will now actually love how the Brazilians might play like they always did.
The goalkeeper of the Brazilian team, Julio Cesar, would only be 34 years old and would still be part of the Spanish squad, as the team would play on their home soil. He is a wall at the back and does not let too many goals inside the net. As a substitute goal keeper, Victor from Gremio, would be perfect as he was left out by Dunga in this particular FIFA World Cup.
Talking about defenders, many of the current fullbacks would be definitely retired by the year 2014. Maicon, however, would be an experienced player for the Brazilian side, as he has already shown the world that he is the best right back in the world, at the moment. As a left back, Marcelo will have his turn to shine. As a substitute, Dani Alves will have his go, as he is one of the best defenders in the world as well. Thiago Silva of AC Milan is an amazing option for a centre back along with Germio’s Mario Fernandez, who is going to be an extra ordinary player in 4 years time. Sao Paulo’s Miranda would also be a good option for the starting line-up, as all these players have the same amount of talent in them.
In the midfield, if the Brazilians prefer to play 4 in the mid, then the Sao Paulo’s amazing talent, Hernanes will have his go in the world cup. His partner in the holding midfield would be Ramires, who would only be 27 years old and would be doing a fine job by then. In the centre and attacking midfield, Ganso and Kaka would be present to assist their team with goals and through balls. Ganso with his great sprinting ability and Kaka with his amazing ball crossing ability would be a great combo and they are definitely going to aid their strikers for goals.
Luis Fabiano, upfront, would be gone by the time the next world cup will start therefore; Neymar would have to prove himself as a good finisher. The AC Milan star Alexander Pato would be a good option for the Brazilian side, as he had a pretty good season this year. Robinho, on the other hand, would be 30 and he might redeem himself by playing in the starting line-up for the Brazilians and scoring a few goals at that age. Other players that might attract the selection committee could be Nilmar, who has proven himself as a power substitute, time and again. There is one player who did not get a chance to play in this world cup and that was Ronaldinho; maybe he is also included in the next world cup’s squad just to put his name up in the last FIFA World Cup of his career.
So, the starting line-up of the Spanish squad would probably be:
Julio Cesar, Maicon, Mario Fernandez, Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Hernanes, Ramires, Kaka, Ganso, Neymar, Pato.
Substitutes: Victor, Daniel Alves, Miranda, Sandro, Coutinho, Robinho, Nilmar.
