FIFA World Cup: France world cup problems Evra misses Press Conference Domenech in Trouble

Ace striker Florent Malouda was reported to have said that the training-ground revolt following the dismissal of team-mate Nicolas Anelka was a disaster, and added that France has been a disgrace as they were out of the World Cup. The striker was sent home after details of his attack on the French Coach Domenech, in which he called the national coach a "dirty son of a w***e" at half-time of the country's 2-0 defeat to Mexico. There is more mayhem following the dilemma created by the French.

The team’s press conference lacked the presence of their Captain Patrice Evra, leaving Coach Raymond Domenech alone to preside. Now the FIFA boards have taken notice of this issue and planning to instigate an investigation over the matter and press the person responsible.

Earlier to the match the Manchester United defender, Evra, stated that his team was united more than ever before because of the current circumstances but it was the French coach’s predictions that came true in the end. Domenech had stated that his team on the contrary will be troubled by the current circumstances; and being distracted would fail to show their true colours. However, the question then was, had the Les Bleus shown their colour during their whole journey to the final stages for the FIFA World Cup 2010.

Domenech articulated “It’s difficult in the context” adding after a pause, “The players have used up a lot of energy on all this”. Thus, they won’t be able to perform and reach the next stage from Group A is what the coach wanted to say.

The media was relentless and the reporters soon pounced on the coach without any signs of mercy. All their questions though had the main theme of who was in charge of the team’s decision and selection at the moment.

When asked why he read the players' statement the day before he told, “Because it had taken 45 minutes or more than trying to convince them that it was an aberration, an indescribable imbecility”. He then added, “If I tell you, you will not believe me. I have always done so, nobody has ever dictated my list and it will be like that tomorrow. I'll play the team the staff and I want”.

He then relayed that this was not a time for the team for holding up grudges against each other, as the France’s football future was in peril. When asked if he regretted sending Nicolas Anelka back, he said they will just have to wait and see about that. He further told that he hadn’t even finalized the team for the match yet and would complete the task in a while.

The evident question that hit him hard the most was the eminent one; would Domenech relief the skipper Evra from his duty. In answer to that he stated, “There will be a discussion tonight, we'll see. Again, this is not a problem of trust, but rather a question of psychological and physical condition to play the game”.

Then he further revealed that he would prefer the players in the teams after he has observed them in the morning training session. The French Coach finished with a perfectly touching line, “I hope with all my heart, that they are ready to show they love the France team”. Malouda admitted it was stupid to refuse to train 48 hours before the game in protest due to the Anelka bust-up.

When media asked if his character had been mottled by the recent controversies to the irreversible pint he announced, “No, they are judged game after game. This is the result that will make our sporting reputation, whether it is tainted or confirmed”.

Well the South Africans started the tournament with style and they ended it in the same fashion, many French fans cheered South Africa's goals as "Les Bleus" were dumped out of the competition. France football supporters are digested by their country's dramatic fall from the soaring heights of World Cup triumph in 1998 to the dismal depths of 2010.

Around 14,000 people joined the "Make 'Les Bleus' walk back home from South Africa" group on Facebook. Coach Domenech is widely blamed for France's lengthy fall from grace, was booed every time his face appeared on the giant screen, at Trocadero square, just across the river from the Eiffel tower.
