Giancarlo Abete has congratulated the Azzurri manager for bringing Italy to a prestigious place in the European football, and admitted that they lost to the deserving Champions.
FIGC President, Giancarlo Abete, has congratulated Cesare Prandelli on his wonderful performance in Euro 2012, and has stressed that there is no reason for the tactician to quit from his current position.
The Azzurri lost to Spain 4-0 in the final of the European tournament, and the Italian tactician had hinted that he may opt to switch to a club side after the end of the trip to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983.
Abete pointed out that Prandelli enjoys a good rapport with the Italian federation, and insisted that the reports of the imminent exit are worthless rumours.
FIGC President went on to stress that in the light of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926’s brilliant performances in the Euros, the federation will do their utmost to keep a tight hold on the Nazionale coach.
The Federation chief admitted that there was disappointment surrounding the defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, but insisted that the ordeal of the final day should not be allowed to undermine their brilliant performances throughout the tournament.
While talking to the press, the Italian businessman said:
“I didn’t fear Prandelli would leave, as he has a solid rapport with the Federation and we’ll try to put him in the best condition to continue his work. He has made positive steps forward and although there is disappointment at losing the Final, we must
not forget that this tournament showed an advance for the Azzurri and brought the Italian national team back to the prestigious places in European football.”

The FIGC chief hailed the Azzurri chief and his squad for their brilliant run in Euro 2012, and admitted that they lost to an excellent Spanish side.
