FISHING IN MONTAUK: Where exactly can I fish in Montauk New York? Is there more than 1 spot there?

Hi everyone,

Where exactly can I fish at Montauk New York? I do not own a boat and do not want to book a charter. I will have about 8 people with me.

Is there only surf fishing at Montauk? Is there more than 1 spot to fish at montauk? I know everyone talks about a light house there but I want to know where exactly to fish. I hope to catch many fish there!

Which baits are good to use there? I want to go for stripers and blues.

I'm not sure how great the fishing is there, but there is a beach near the business district in Montauk, but you might catch a monster! Check out the link below.

the only spot ia anywere along the beach  live shrimp squid clams bring a little of each incase there not biteing on one try another there are no docks or piers there so just pay for parking at the lighthouse and walk down to beach you will need a good pole and real to surfcast thats only kind of fishing there also expect ot get caught in rocks so bring extra tackle hooks weights exetra also some food and drinks its along way back to town if ya dont want to travel allthe way out east and have a fourwheel drive truck go to smithspoint and drive the beach to moriches inlet good fishing there also just go were the gaurd shack is and drive the trail its a fun ride lock in those hubs it gets sandy take it all the way to the end eventually you will have to get out on the beach watch for people lying around but keep on heading east its a good ride there but a great place to fish and has lots of rocks so same applys there as the point ok to brink food beers what ever good luck
