  1. Fitness First doesnt give student discounts - I agree with the other answerer that you should stay away from them! They badger you to join after you make contact with them and harrass you if you try and leave even after your contracts up.

    Costs about 68 dollars a month last i heard. Rip off!

    Try just about any other gym - even Zest is better.

    Good luck!

  2. NO - stay away - they are the biggest rip off - also they put you on a direct debit plan (compulsory) either on credit card or your account.  Problem is when you want to stop it they stuff you around and the terms and conditions tie you up for at least 12 months.  When I tried to cancel my membership it took well over 3 months and countless calls.  I tried having my bank do it and they couldn't because once a third party gets a hold of your account there is no way for your bank to stop it.  The lady from the bank said that she gets hundreds of complaints about the same problem I was having.  In the end - I had a solicitor friend of mine write a nasty letter and only then it stopped - but they did not refund me the money they took during this time.  I will never go to that gym again - they do the hard sell when you go into see them and then your on your own.

    Find a small gym - keep away from this one in particular.

    Good Luck : }}
