of the women’s club championships was made last year, something that was appreciated by women players.
The favourite in the men’s championships is the Italian club Trentino Diatec who have two club world championships in their bag. The last victory has made Trentino Diatec the first ever club in the history of club volleyball to have won the title two consecutive
times. On the women’s side, the Turkish club Fenerbahce was able to win the championship for the first time in the last 16 years in 2010.
