FIVB Volleyball Championship 2010: Team prospects in the second round
The FIVB Men’s Volleyball Championship covered the first round on 27th September, 2010. Six teams were eliminated from the tournament on account of their poor performances, while six teams captured the top spots in their respective pools. The
second round of tournament is scheduled to start today in the afternoon. The coaches have a great task to line-up the players in good order and guide them in the right direction. In this regard, teams are quite busy in planning the better strategies.
American Coach’s Vision
The United States’ team has performed in a great way and successfully secured the top spot in Pool D. The team is headed by an experienced coach, Alan Knipe. The coach is happy with the past performance of his team and he also congratulated the other qualifiers
of 2nd round. He urged the team to bring more consistency in order to survive the tough contests ahead. The U.S. team has been promoted to Pool L and it is joined by Czech Republic and Cameron.
Cameron’s game plan in 2nd round
Likewise, Cameron’s team also qualified for the second round of the tournament by exhibiting an outstanding game. Cameron represented Pool C in the first round and finished in the third place. The Cameroonians are governed by Peter Nonnenbroich, who has
been with the team for quite a long time. The coach was more than happy as he started the campaign with complete new team but still managed to crop out good results. He is confident that his team will do best in the next round. The young players of Cameron
lack the international exposure, which can create a problem for them. Nonetheless, it is great opportunity for them to grab the attention of sponsors. The coach has set a dimension for team and the players are expected to sparkle on the scene.
Brazil’s perspective
Brazil’s team finished second in the Pool B. They lost only one match to Cuba which forced them to stay in the second slot. Somehow, the team is content with their progress and target the second round matches. The coach Bernardo Rezende has faith in his
boys and he urged them to overcome the flaws in second round. He disclosed his thoughts about tough matches against Spain and Cuba. Brazil is placed Pool N along with Poland and Bulgaria. The team is equipped with all necessary tools and coach’s vision. They
surely seem determined to catch the big prize in FIVB Championship.
Czech Coach’s stance
Czech Republic also ended the first set by capturing second slot in rankings of Pool E. The assistant coach, Milan Hadrava expressed hope for the better results in second round. In the coach’s opinion, there is so much left to be done. They are obviously
not the best team in the squad, they have tough matches ahead and they need to polish their skills. Czech Republic is scheduled to face United States in the second round, which is a major threat for their survival.
The Caribbean ladies from Cuba
Cuba is also among the successful teams of first round. Cuba rose up from Pool B as the best team and earned the top spot. Cuba has big plans for the next round matches. The team is supervised by head coach Orlando Blackwood, who enabled the team to dismiss
the stronger teams in Pool B. The coach is satisfied with team’s current run and tempted them to be on the good notes of people by demonstrating good game. Cuba will be competing against Serbia and Mexico in Pool H. The Cuban team has the potential to overpower
Serbs and Mexicans. Nonetheless, the world has to wait and see for the final results.
