The press conference started off with the Brazilian coach, Luizomar de Moura, having his say and relaying the excitement of his team to be present in Lima for the tournament. When it was the Cuban coach’s turn to make the presentation, Robinson Pupo revealed
that only one main player from the Cuban side was present as the others were up for the World Grand Prix.
Wagner Pacheo, who is the coach of the Dominican Republic, made the following statement about the matches that his team will face ahead: “We are going to have a great tournament because we are in a difficult group.” Pacheo also added that his team has the
potential to be among the top two teams in the tournament.
