FIVB announces media accreditation for two big events of the year – Volleyball news
The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has opened the media accreditations for 2012 FIVB World League and World Grand Prix tournaments.
The official announcement about media accreditation was released from the headquarters of international volleyball governing body in Lausanne, Switzerland on Wednesday, April 4.
The FIVB’s Medial Club platform is now accepting requests for event coverage from journalists and media personnel from all around the world. The Intercontinental Rounds of the FIVB Volleyball World League and the Preliminary Rounds of the FIVB Volleyball
World Grand Prix will be on stake for the official approval.
In order to make the users more convenient, the Press Department of Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has opted for the new online accreditation system on its official web portal. The FIVB first introduced this online system in 2011 when media
authorisation was required for FIVB World Cup, which held in Japan.
Back then, the media accreditation process was successfully carried out through online applications. Once again, the FIVB is following the same method for 2012 FIVB World League and FIVB World Grand Prix media accreditation. The FIVB has listed all the relevant
information about these two events and process of getting registered on its online platform.
The accredited media will have a lot of benefits such as information about FIVB press releases and publications on regular bases. Furthermore, they will also be able to access the additional key media information.
The 23rd edition of the FIVB Volleyball World League will take place from May 18 to July 1 and a total of 16 men’s teams from across the globe will take part in the competition. The opening round of the FIVB World League will cover its length over three
weeks, while the final round will be hosted by Sofia, Bulgaria in fourth week.
On the other hand, the 2012 FIVB Grand Prix which is a women’s event, will take centre stage from June 8 to July 1. The women’s premier volleyball tournament will also receive sixteen best teams from the world.
According to set rules of FIVB, the media accreditation can only be obtained three weeks prior to the actual event. So if you are a journalist or have some affiliation with media, and want to cover the listed events, you better hurry up and get registered
with FIVB media now.
