South Africa and Mauritius settled for the Olympic spots in men’s and women’s categories through the African Continental Beach Volleyball Cup, which featured thrilling encounters and created equal opportunities for all participating countries. However, men’s tandems from South Africa and ladies from Mauritius proved to be better and grabbed success.
Likewise, Venezuela has been confirmed by the FIVB to play at men’s Olympic Beach Volleyball Tournament in London. Venezuela did amazingly well at the South American Men’s Continental Cup. Argentina also qualified for the Olympics via South American Women’s Continental Cup.

In the Asian Continental Cup, which was organised and supervised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), Japan settled for men’s competition at the Olympics whereas Australia qualified for the women’s competition.
Canada has been the only country, which secured both men’s and women’s spots at the Olympic Games via Continental Cup. The Canadian hotshots proved their abilities at the NORCECA Continental Cup Tournament and got hold of the Olympic tickets.

South Africa, Venezuela, Canada, Japan, Norway, Mauritius, Argentina, Australia, and Russia claimed the top positions in their respective Continental Cup competitions.
