FIVB conducts Coaches Course in Palestine – Volleyball news
The FIVB Level 1 Coaches Course is underway in Palestine. The training programme started off on Thursday, March 15 and it is scheduled to be continued until next Monday, March 26.
The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) joined hands with Olympic Solidarity, in order to organise this training course for the development of volleyball in the Middle East.
The opening ceremony took place at the Al Naser Al Arabi Sporting Club in Gaza-Rimal, Palestine on Thursday. The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Palestine Volleyball Federation and National Olympic Committee of Palestine. The President of
the federation, Jaber Asfoor and Olympic Committee vice-president Waleed Ayoub also showed up at the ceremony.  
The FIVB instructor Muhammad Khalil, who spent many hours to reach the venue, is supervising the training programme.
This is the fourth Level I course, which is being conducted by the International Volleyball Federation. There has been noticeable increase in certified FIVB indoor and beach volleyball coaches’ courses in the recent few years as FIVB is trying to create
awareness about the sport in every part of the world.
The primary objective of this coaching course in Palestine is to ensure that the training and education of coaches lead to the practical advancement and growth of volleyball. The FIVB has created a unique opportunity for local aspiring coaches to improve
on their skills and to bring up competitive teams.
All the Coaches Courses and Technical seminars follow strict rules in terms of number of theoretical and practical lessons, organisation, duration, and exams to grant the highest quality education possible. The courses enhance the game knowledge of participants
and introduce them to the most recent trends of the modern game of volleyball.
The National Federation of Palestine will surely get a lot of help from the ongoing Coaches Course. This is a training facility, which has attracted many of the volleyball lovers in Palestine. The Federation International de Volleyball and Palestine Volleyball
Federation are optimistic that the Coaches Course will serve its purpose and it will be huge success. There is still a week’s time left to take part in the course and benefit from the training facility that FIVB has especially arranged for the people of Palestine.
