FIVB joins hands with new marketing allies – Volleyball News
In the recent memory, the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has found new marketing allies in the form of Dentsu, XYZ, and IMG. The International volleyball governing authority has signed contracts with these three agencies to work for the promotion
of FIVB projects across the globe. All three companies are considered comprehensive marketing and media groups, and have great reputation.
IMG, Dentsu and XYZ have agreed to collectively work for FIVB. The partnership agreements have been signed and now all the media rights of FIVB events will be handled by these companies. They will be the exclusive media and marketing partners of the FIVB
for the period 2013-2020. They will have the shared goal of expanding and growing the marketing and media rights of all the FIVB events over the next eight years.
In this connection, the International Volleyball Federation called the meeting of its Executive Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland on Thursday. The FIVB President Jizhong Wei presided over the meeting and also signed the agreements. Moreover, the meeting
was attended by the general manager of the Dentsu International Sports Department Soichi Takahashi, the President of IMG Media Michel Masquelier, and Fernando von Oertzen who is the vice-president of XYZ Olympic Sports.
President Wei said, “This outstanding marketing alliance heralds another significant step in this new and exciting era for FIVB marketing. We are extremely proud to work together with three distinguished companies which bring unparalleled strength and depth
when it comes to media and marketing and an extensive global reach to deliver on our very important marketing goals.”
Likewise, the XYZ President Bazinho Ferraz commented, “It is a unique and historical opportunity to experience volleyball and beach volleyball’s cross cultural value at the highest level.” Ioris Francini of IMG also expressed delight about FIVB’s decision.
He seemed glad at the opportunity of working with FIVB and alongside XYZ and Dentsu.
This is the first time in the history that international volleyball’s governing body has been engaged with three world-class marketing agencies, in order to take its properties to every nook and cranny of the world. The FIVB is optimistic that it will bring
further improvement in its operations.
