FIVB launches innovative technical posters – Volleyball news
The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) is offering a brand new web experience to the people who want to know and learn about challenging sport of volleyball.
Recently, the Technical and Development Department of the International Volleyball Governing Body has opted for a new teaching method with the launch of new technical posters on the official web portal.
The FIVB is always keen on finding new innovative ways to make it simple for volleyball followers to understand the sport and get familiar with the modern trends in the game. The sport’s governing body has unveiled the technical posters in order to help
players and coaches to enhance their knowledge of the game.
The new series of posters explain the fundamental techniques and tactics of the game in a very easy way. The posters contain pictures with multimedia features and the videos links. The posters allow users to learn about right actions in the court e.g. how
to make a perfect serve, how to go for a cross-court shot, spikes, and blocks.
All the posters are downloadable and people can store them on their personal computers. The FIVB is set to increase the number of posters on its website in coming weeks.
The Director of FIVB Technical and Development, Helgi Thorsteinsson, explained the idea and shared his views on the posters.
He said, “We are positive that this fantastic new teaching aid will benefit national federations, coaches, players and instructors alike. We must thank the Technical Commission members for their commitment as well as our external partners from Evoletics
and Mr Berthold Fröehner for their collaboration in bringing this project to fruition.”
The executive vice-president of the FIVB, Aleksandr Boricic, expressed the similar feelings. He said that the FIVB Technical Board is always in search of new effective ways of teaching.
The technical posters will help FIVB to teach the wonderful game of volleyball in informal and accessible ways. He added that he himself has used the posters and hopes that the volleyball community will acknowledge their effort in a positive way.
