could there be risks buying it for allot less used on amazon than new? i want to buy FL8.

  1. It's not legal to buy a used version. Image-Line doesn't allow license transfer, so buying a second hand copy makes it just as illegal as downloading it from some warez site.

    The only way you're going to get it cheaper is when a store is selling a boxed version cheaper (i.e. an older version), or to buy it online from Image-Line directly with a 10% promo code.

    If you get the boxed version you will not get life-time free upgrades as with the download version.
