FLASH Entertainment Improvises - Introduces Tennis Village
As the United Arab Emirates' enthralling tennis weekend looms with a limited amount of tickets remaining, FLASH Entertainment announced the opening of this year's new Tennis Village at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
An 'Interactive Tennis Zone' has been introduced by Mubadala at the International Tennis Complex at Zayed Sports City. The visitors will be able to experience more than just witnessing a tennis tournament.
The facility opens everyday from midday and is free to all. Open to all ages, the area includes Wii tennis, autograph booths, a tennis history wall and face painting apart from a chance for everyone to test their speed serve against
some of the World's best players through advanced technology. In addition, a number of mini tennis tournaments have also been arranged.
“Once again the arrival of the world’s leading tennis stars for the start of the global tennis in Abu Dhabi has proved hugely popular with only a very limited number of tickets still available for the opening day. Days two and
three are already completely sold out, so the atmosphere inside the stadium will be electric. Outside the centre court, the new and improved interactive tennis zone will give every fan the chance to pick up a racquet and get involved, regardless of having
a ticket for the championship. Our aim for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship is to inspire people to play more tennis, get more active and have a great time whilst they do it – and the Tennis Village will definitely encourage more people to play,” explained
Managing Director, John Lickrish.
Presently, ranked no. 1 in the World, Spain's tennis star Rafael Nadal and the legendary Swiss maestro, Roger Federer, are expected to visit the tennis village on the opening day of the tournament to sign autographs. Additionally,
Swede Robin Soderling's coach Claudio Pistolesi will be holding coaching sessions, which are to take place on the third day, for the UAE National Team,
In addition, the jam-packed event is mainly being held to educate the community on the importance of sports apart from having facilitated a number of activities to entertain spectators and participants.
