  1. if pounds contain lot of quantity water then the water travel through the river then lot of pounds having same situation like then 24 feetrise of water and 12 inches of rain then it occurs double of them.


  2. Well it rains 12 inches, but in a small area (like a square yard? idk what it is)

    But if you add up all the small areas, all the water that rains down on a huge area, all that water goes into the river, causing it to rise like crazy

  3. I believe it also depends on the quality of the drainage system. Also, you need to consider the size of the area. If the area is smaller, obviously, more water will collect. In addition, the surroundings are important, is their a delta near by, a tributary where the water can flow into. What type of body of water is it specifically. All these factors cause water levels to be high or low.
