  1. There is always a chance of afternoon storms in florida this time of year. But odds are you will have plently of sunshine.. so dont worry.

  2. No...Disney has a special invisible barrier to keep weather out...Duh!!! If it is raining it will rain in Disney. But most things are open if its raining and the rains usually don't last too long. (Except for Fay...lol)  Rain will not ruin your trip.  I promise.

  3. Check weatherchannel.com or Florida weather via google.  You can find a 7 or 10 day forecast for Orlando.

Yes, its probably going to rain.  There was a lot of rain for Fay & now Gustav is headed to the Gulf of Mexico.

WDW will stay open.  It has only closed once for a hurricane years ago & it was cleaned up & ready to open the next day.

So pack a lightweight rain parka & Teva water sandals so you can visit all the attractions.  I am sure attendence will be down if it rains, so you'll have WDW parks to yourself.

For more information about rain/weather at WDW you can also go to tripadvisor.com ~~~ go to Orlando Forums & read what other people have to say.  Some posters are at WDW & are advising what the weather is.  Or go to disboards.com for more info too.

  4. I live less than 10 minutes from Epcot. Fay in Orlando was just 20 mph winds and rain. There hasn't been any flooding or wind damage in this area. Disney, SeaWorld and Universal have been open regular business hours every day and I'm sure they have no plans to change that just because of a little rain.

Don't worry about the parks closing. They didn't miss an hour of operation during the big storms 4 years ago.

Our normal weather pattern for this time of year is rain for about an hour in the afternoon, in fact it's usually a pretty spectacular thunderstorm but it only lasts about an hour. The storms usually hit late afternoon around 3-4pm. It's also pretty hot down here right now. We've been in the low 90's with high humidity so make sure you dress light and stay hydrated.

Welcome to Orlando and enjoy your stay!

  5. It's summer in Florida.  Expect storms everyday here until mid October.

    10 day forecast

  7. Disney is hella fun in the rain!

  8. Disney doesn't close unless there is a direct local hurricane warning in place - sometimes Disney is open but some rides are off if there is lightning going on.

Otherwise your trip will be fine - just bring or buy a rain poncho.

In fact you may find the bad weather puts people off visiting the parks and so the lines won't be as long.

    Enjoy
