when i floss i bleed now is it because i havent flossed in a long time and like i started again and i got these bumps in the back of my gums is that bad?

Anytime that you do not floss you risk building plaque and tartar, both of which will cause irritation to the gums since it builds around the gum line, which in turn causes bleeding.  After your cleaning with the dentist make sure that you start flossing again and you will rarely see this.  Also make sure that you are using mouthwash as well to protect from such things.  Over time after your cleaning you will see these symptoms disappearing if you are brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash.

    Some people with the same issue as you will experience regular swelling after a cleaning because your gums and teeth really go through the cleaner there.
