FOOD, how much is to much when feeding a cat that probably is starving, and has not eatin in weeks, safe?

  1. Here is a formula that maybe you should start with. It's for kittens but you didn't say how old a cat and this won't hurt it any.  


  2. Start slowly, a quarter can to begin with but feed more frequently. A normal cat would need about 6-8oz of food a day so that is where you'd start. Do not allow the cat to eat too much at one sitting - his system will need to adjust itself and eating too fast and too much might lead to vomiting and other digestive upset. Best thing to do is to bring the starving cat to the vet for a thorough health screen to make sure he does not have any illness.
