Question:

FOR 10 EASY POINTS - Dentists - Quick Question About Braces!?

I had braces for two years.

My teeth were straight afterwards. However, my dentist gave me a retainer (the one that you put on your teeth and don't have to remove it and put it back in again). It's white and it is put on the back of my tooth (kind of like reverse braces). This is put on the bottom (except for four teeths - I don't know why).

Now. I noticed my teeth are crooked again (it's nearly a year).

What can I work out? I'm quite disapointed that I paid thousands of dollars to have straight teeth, but didn't.

Also, can I get braces for free again? Because he didn't do a good job with maintaining hte straightness.

  1. Honest, the maintenance is your responsibility. He did his job. He got them straight. He did his job. The rest is up to you. Believe it or not, teeth have a kind of memory. They know where they used to be pre-braces and are likely to go back if a reainer isn't worn properly.

You can certainly call the office and ask them what they can do for you.

  2. methinks you're screwed.
