Itunes automatically backs up your itunes playlist so if your computer breaks not too badly you should still have your hard drive and will be able to recover the backup...however ot be safe you should buy an external hard drive to save it on

First goto music folder and right click itunes folder and copy

1 plug in ipod

2 open itunes

3 tick 'Enabledisk use'

4 close itunes

5 computer

6 right click ipod

7 properties

8 new folder

9 name it 'Back-up'

10 right click and paste the folder into the back folder

Your itunes library back-up is now stored on your ipod.

You can either create a back up on CD or DVD or alternatively get a USB hard drive and put them on that. I recommend the USB hard drive, it will also give you room to backup any school;/college work as well.
