  1. opk's show up positive when you are pregnant too... have you taken a pregnancy test?

  2. its a good time:)

  3. It cant be wrong so it looks like you have longer this month to make your baby! Good luck and best wishes!

  4. Because the Lutenizing hormone (LH) that the OPK's detect remains in your system.  That is why once you get a +OPK, you no longer need to continue testing.

You should not be starting your period in only 6 days though.  That means you had your LH surge on day only 11 days before your period should start...So you ovulated only 9 days before your period should start.

If you are trying to get pregnant, the time from ovulation to the time you start your pediod (Your luteal phase) needs to be at least 11 days, with 14 days being the best.  If you luteal phase is only 9 days, you definitely need to contact your doctor for help with a short luteal phase.   hormone therapy (Usually progesterone) can help this problem

    best of luck to you

  5. It is possible you have thown out more than one egg, one from each ovary, that would be my guess. Good luck x

  6. It is possible, in a normal ovulation, to have a positive OPK for several days in a row. This is because LH peaks (surges) about 12-36 hours before ovulation occurs, and then dissipates. So, you could theoretically detect this high level of LH with positive OPK's from the time it begins to the time it dissipates.

If you have a positive opk for more than 36 hours, then it's likely that your body geared up with an lh surge for ovulation, backed off momentarily, then surged again.  It's not something to worry about.

If your luteal phase, time between ovulation and the start of your period, is less than 10 days, then that IS something to talk with your Dr. about. If you do, indeed, start your period in 6 days, that would be a luteal phase defect. A normal luteal phase is 10-16 days (and 10 is really on the low side - most Dr's would like to see at least 12 days).

I wish you the best of luck!
