Ok, I need some help! I'm looking for a program that I can download for free, is easy to use, and has real measurements. For example-I don't just want to draw lines of random length, I want to be able to measure lines. Just in case you need to know, I'm looking for software to help me draw floor plans for architecture!

  1. Blender, plenty good for CAD work.

  2. dont know any for free, but there are tons of cadd programs that are decent and cheap at software stores, cost less than 50 dollars, not the 10k that auto cadd cost

  3. This might be what you are looking for- http://www.getpaint.net/

  4. I'd use Open Office Draw option.  Open Office is like Microsoft Office but it open-source.  What's open source?  Open-Source means it's totally free, in every way.  So, check it out, you won't be disappointed.  You'll have to check it out a little, learn how to do things, but I'm sure you're capable.

  5. A GREAT image creation/ editing tool for what you need is called "gimp". It has a funny name, but its great and free.the link is:

I love designing architecture too, and a program I use is 3D Home Architect Design Deluxe 8.  It is amazing, and esy to use.  It costs about 40 bucks though.  If you are comfortable with downloading (which im NOT reccommending), you can maybe find it on thepiratebay.org or demonoid.com, or some other dwonload site.

    Good Luck!
