What should I charge to watch a three year old who is not potty trained?????

They wont be supplying food, but WILL be diapers, wipes, transportation to and from. It will be 5 days a week, daytime, apx 8 hours a day. He IS a good kid, I know him well. This will be my only source of income, but my hubby works. I have 9 month old twins of my own. Does 450-500 sound reasonable?? Thanks ahead for all your answers!!!

  1. That sounds about right if nort more, because of the circumstances, with you and your children, they will supply everything else but food? That does not make sense to me, why wouldn't they supply the food? It is their child you'll be baby-sitting, it makes no sense to me so then charge them EXTRA FOR THE FOOD, I guess you have to supply?I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me, they will supply everything else but not food, you'll have their son 5 days aweek, for 8hrs. a day, with only you providing the food for you, your children, and the boy, and your husband? I would charge more than $500.00  food is on the rise up, or do these parents, not care  or what? The boy should already been potty trained  probably 2 yrs. ago, but they will supply the diapers, but not food, that isn't right; nor is it fair to you!

  2. If you want to do it, do it.

  3. well i think 425 sounds good but extra for gas money(which is very high) so that sounds pretty good to me.. hope i helped

  4. where r u from?  i would never pay someone that much thats way too much in my opnion around here the pay for daycare is about 100 a week no food, 5 days a week and 8 hours a day i need to move there if babysitters get paid that much

  5. The going rate is about $40 a day. The most I have ever heard of is $250 per week for a child in diapers.

  6. $450-500 a month? sounds pretty good to me..very reasonable

  7. That sounds pretty reasonable since the child is not potty trained

  8. you cant give us all 10 points now come on!! yes $450 that sounds reasonable good luck

  9. that sounds very very reasonable for a day care like that.

  10. 450 is waaayy to high! In my area that would be 6$ hour or minumum wage which ever is higher! Daycare around here is wayyy cheaper.

  11. Hmm not potty trained..well I would say 6 per hour. Kids are a lot of work, and since you have twins and its going to be a lot harder. I think 6 is reasonable.. .

  12. I think 450-500 is very reasonable if they wont be supplying food. I know a couple who pays an 18 year old girl to watch their 10 year old son. She does nothing but hang out with him all day at their house...no cleaning, dusting dishes etc...She occasionally takes him to the local Water Park and she gets $350 a week! Best Wishes to you!

  13. I as a parent would pay $500 dollars. I think that is very reasonable price. Good luck with your new adventure.

  14. i would charge 500 you will be chasing him and doing diaper changes also food is not exactly free. Make sure you get what you want to make because you are going to be one busy lady!!

  15. I think that's reasonable.  Break it down when you go over the price with the parents-pay, food expenses, etc.  That will make them more agreeable.

  16. for a month, yeah. for a week, no.

  17. 20-30 dollars a day

  18. a week? i would say 400...especially since you are supplying food. :)

  19. I would say $425ish.

  20. It depends on your area. In my area that would be about 250 a week.
